A native of Morrison, Ill., Casey graduated from the University of Illinois at Chicago and the University of North Dakota, earning his Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Kinesiology. He began his collegiate coaching career while attending the University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC), where he interned under Nick Zostautas and assisted with the coaching of a variety of teams and professional athletes training in the off-season, such as MLB superstar, Curtis Granderson.
Casey continued his education while working as a Graduate Assistant for the University of North Dakota and head strength coach, Nate Baukol. Serving as the Strength & Conditioning coach for the Baseball and Softball teams, he also had the opportunity to work with the Football, Basketball, Track and Field, and Swimming programs. The baseball team recorded the most wins in Div. 1 history during his tenure and had multiple players in the Northwoods League and a player who was selected for the prestigious, Cape Cod summer league. Three players from that team have gone on to play professionally.
Working with hundreds of athletes since then and numerous professional players in a wide variety of sports such as the NFL, MLB, Olympic Triathlon, and many others, he has worked with and developed a wide range of athletes who have all seen improved results.
Casey is a certified member of the National Strength and Conditioning Association, along with being a USA Weightlifting Level 1 Sports Performance Coach.
A.J. is a recent graduate of Concordia University Chicago with a Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science. He also played four years of football at Concordia, achieving All-Conference honors as well as Team Captain. A.J. intends on continuing his education to complete a graduate program in Physical Therapy. He is experienced in Strength and Conditioning training of athletes throughout his time in college as well as proficient in Olympic Weightlifting. A.J. is also currently working on becoming a certified member of the National Strength and Conditioning Association.
Nick uses his expertise in the fields of nutrition and kinesiology to develop strength and conditioning programs designed to improves athletes on and off the field. Learning to create a mind-body connection and be more mindful in everyday activities is the passion behind his training. He has a lot of experience working with athletes from youth to collegiate level through his time at Michigan State University and Oregon University, as well as working with adult and senior populations. He is currently in pursuit of becoming a Registered Dietitian (RD) in which he will help athletes develop personalized meal plans to educate and guide athletes into making better food choices that will improve their health and performance.
Cody grew up on the Northwest side of Chicago playing just about every sport he could. In high school, Cody developed a passion for strength training. Cody obtained both his Master’s and Bachelor’s Degrees from Carroll University, where Cody served as a Graduate Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach working primarily with Football, Women’s Basketball, and Women’s Volleyball. Cody spent time as an intern at DePaul University where he worked with each of their Division I teams. Having been the strength coach for the Notre Dame College Prep basketball team for the last few years, he has worked in a high school setting where he has seen athletes under-served regarding their training in the weight room. Cody has also been fortunate enough to work with a variety of professional athletes including professional baseball and professional basketball players.
The field of Strength and Conditioning is always changing and Cody is constantly trying to learn new things to integrate into training to help the athletes he comes in contact with.
Graduating with his Bachelor’s in Kinesiology from the University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC), Jordan was brought on to assist with coaching after an internship/independent study project with Casey Tiesman & Tactic Sports Performance during his undergraduate tenure. Playing high-school basketball and volleyball, he sought to continue his athletic passion finding the sport of powerlifting, setting multiple National & State records. Continually seeking to further his education, Jordan is pursuing certification through the National Strength and Conditioning Association while he searches for prospective graduate school programs that fit his passion for evidence-based strength and conditioning.
